A one day orientation programme on "Drug Abuse Prevention" was held for the first year students on 29th August 2019. The programme was conducted by Fr. Jiju Kulathingal (RRTC Director), Mr. T M Mathew ( RRTC Assistant), Mr. Littymon (RRTC Documentation Officer). It was Organized by RRTC SOUTH ZONE, Changancherry Social Service Society (CHASS). It was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Students were made aware of the different ways they can be baited into drugs and how to set themselves off from the pressures around them. They were given a thorough understanding of how drug abuse can cause various health issues and can also lead to catastrophic incidents. Students were shown awareness videos and PowerPoint presentations which enlightened them against drug abuse. Students were also provided with tea and snacks.
