The BA in Animation & Visual Effects is an undergraduate programme designed to prepare students for careers in the animation and visual effects industry. Students can choose to specialize in either animation or visual effects.
The course covers fundamental aspects of animation and visual effects, including Drawing for Animation, Character Design, Color Theory for Animation and VFX, Planning for Animation, Classical Animation, Stop Motion Techniques, Acting for Animators, Character rigging, Motion Graphics, Advanced Texturing, Compositing, Shooting techniques for VFX, Visual Editing, Matte painting, 3D Modelling, Digital colour grading, and more. These topics are explored in depth over the course of 8 semesters.
Students also receive training in industry-standard software such as Maya, 3Ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Flash, After Effects, and others.

Eligibility: +2 or equivalent
NB: Students have the option to graduate after three years. Upon completion of the required minimum courses totalling 133 credits, they will receive an undergraduate degree in their chosen field. Those who complete four years with a specific number of courses with 177 credits will earn a degree with honours.
