St. Joseph College of Communication observed International Yoga Day by inaugurating its Yoga Club on 20th June. The event, held at 3pm, aimed to promote physical and mental well-being among students through regular yoga practice. The ceremony was inaugurated by renowned yoga trainer Mr. Ramesh Pil lai by lighting the lamp. Following the inauguration, Mr Pillai conducted an engaging yoga session that included demonstrations of postures and discussions on the benefits of yoga. Fr. Dr. Mathew Muriankary, college Principal delivered the inaugural ad dress,emphasizing the significance of yoga for the physical and mental well-being of students. Mr. Madhuraj M, faculty coordinator of the Yoga Club welcomed the attendees and motivated the new members to actively participate in future sessions. Addressing the students of the club, Mr. Ramesh Pillai said, “Only through regular practice of yoga can one enhance their thinking ability and overall health. I encourage every student to integrate yoga into their daily routine.” The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty members. Mr.Ramesh Pillai also interacted with students, answering their questions on yoga and health. The college has been observing Yoga Day annually to create awareness about holistic well-being among students.
