Enliven 2025, an animation and design festival organized by the Department of Animation and Design, was held on the 18th and 19th of February 2025. The event was graced by the esteemed Shilpa Ranade—renowned animator, illustrator, director, producer, and professor at IIT Mumbai—who served as the Guest of Honour. The fest showcased a variety of attractions, including animation film screenings, national-level competitions, and vibrant exhibitions that drew participants from across India. One of the highlights was the series of masterclasses led by industry experts such as Sankar Ganesh, Anand Babu, Michael Manuel Joseph, Yedu Krishnan, and Ambareesh Haridas, providing valuable insights and hands-on learning experiences for attendees. The animation film competition witnessed remarkable talent, with Mr. Dhananjay Goregaonkar, Mr. Aroop Dwivedi, Ms. Subarna Dash, and Ms. Anugraha Shaji emerging as winners. Their creative works captivated both the jury and the audience, adding to the competitive spirit of the fest. The success of Enliven 2025 was the result of meticulous planning and coordination under the leadership of Mr. Binu Varghese and Mr. Bibin Thomas, who served as the general coordinators. With its diverse range of activities and prominent industry presence, the festival proved to be an enriching platform for aspiring animators and designers to showcase their creativity, learn from experts, and connect with peers from around the country.
