On January 29, 2025, at 10.30 am, the college theatre hosted an enlightening seminar on “AI in Media and Entertainment”, led by the prodigious Raul John Aju. With remarkable expertise in cutting-edge technology and creativity, he captivated the audience, shedding light on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in the media and entertainment industry. His insights ranged from AI-driven content creation to the impact of machine learning on filmmaking, animation, and immersive experiences. The session provided students and faculty with a futuristic perspective on how AI is reshaping storytelling, production, and audience engagement. What makes Raul John Aju truly extraordinary is that, despite being just a 10th-grade student at Edappally Government School, he has already gained international recognition for his innovative work. He conducts online classes for American students, leveraging his deep understanding of future technologies. To aid in his sessions, he has even built a self-made robot, demonstrating his ingenuity and passion for AI. His journey into technology and education gained traction after he started a YouTube channel, where he shares his knowledge with a wider audience. During his visit, Raul John Aju also had the honour of inaugurating the new AI & XR Nexus Studio Lab, a state-of-the-art facility aimed at fostering innovation and research in artificial intelligence and extended reality. His inspiring story serves as a testament to how young minds can drive technological advancements and reshape the future of digital media.
