The audio mix for the highly anticipated Tamil film Thangalaan was completed at SJCC’s Dolby Atmos studio under the banner of Media Village Productions. The project, led by experienced sound professionals, aimed to stay aligned with industry standards. Thangalaan, directed by P.A. Ranjith, is an adventure film based on the true story of mine workers at Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka and was released on August 15, 2024. The mix was handled by seasoned editors including Mr. Pramod Thomas (mix engineer), Mr. Anthony Ruban (sound designer), and Mr. Akhil Hari Narayanan (dialogue editor). Despite some challenges, the team managed to overcome them, said Ivans Samuel Varghese, Studio Assistant at Media Village Productions. This collaborative effort highlights the studio’s commitment to keeping pace with evolving industry practices.
