St. Joseph College of Communication marked India's 78th Independence Day on August 14th 2024 with a vibrant live music concert organized by the college band. Held on the campus main stage, the event featured performances by first-year students, showcasing their musical talent and patriotism. Among the performers were Lakshmi Sunil and MS Gowri Sankar from BA Multimedia, Vani K Jaychandran from Visual Communication, Anna Regy Abraham from Animation and Graphic Design, and Meghna VP from Animation and Visual Effects. Accompanying them on instruments were Akash K Alex (2nd-year Audiography and Digital Editing) on the keyboard, Benson S Isaac (2nd-year Audiography and Digital Editing) on guitar, and Joel Suresh Mathew from Visual Communication on the Cajon. Alvin Anil Joy and Noel Yohan Saji, Albin Vargheese, and Bony Sabu, final year students of BA Audiography& Digital Editing were the audio and technical team. Mr Amrit S faculty coordinator deserves credit for beautifully coordinating the event, which was a huge success. A total of four songs were performed, including a duet. The concert, which lasted about 25 minutes, began at 12:30 p.m. and marked the first performance for the new students of the music club. The event reflected the spirit of unity and freedom, blending creativity and patriotism on this special day.
