A seminar on political documentaries and script writing was conducted on August 1st, by a journalist turned filmmaker- Jeny Dolly. BA Visual Communication and MA Print and Electronic Journalism final year students participated in the session led by her. The resource person Jeny, had worked as a journalist for five years in a Tamil news channel directing a political documentary show and later shifted to working in movies by assisting Pa Ranjith. This experience made the session a platform for film and news discussions. Interacting with the participants, she stressed the importance of knowledge in current affairs and politics, supporting filmmaking. The seminar also delved into the complexities of script writing and direction for political documentaries, aiming to equip participants with practical skills, and insights for creating impactful content. The students also got a chance to ask questions and interact well with Jeny.
