The Nature Club and NSS at SJCC enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day on June 5th, 2024, with a plethora of engaging activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and action. “Come Let Us Draw Trees,” where students showcased their artistic talents by creating nature-themed drawings. This event was part of the broader celebration of World Environment Day by the Nature Club and NSS. The club was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Mathew Muriankary, Bursar and Academic Director, who commended the students for their creativity and commitment to environmental conservation. In tandem with the drawing segment, the NSS unveiled a logo for the “Green Campus, Clean Campus” campaign, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a sustainable and eco-friendly campus environment. The logo was unveiled by Mr. Thomas Joseph, Vice Principal, underscoring the institution’s dedication to environmental stewardship. During the event, participants took an oath to uphold their commitment to protecting nature and preserving the environment for future generations. Rev. Dr. Joseph Parackal, principal emphasized the significance of individual and collective efforts in safeguarding the planet during his speech. Mr. Nidhin Babu, faculty in charge of NSS, and Mr. Saji Raphael, faculty coordinator of the Nature Club, delivered inspiring messages, encouraging students to take proactive steps towards environmental conservation.
