St. Joseph's College, Changanassery (SJCC) held its annual College Day celebrations on March 19, 2024, coinciding with a warm farewell ceremony for the final-year students. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Mathukutty Xavier, a distinguished national award winner and proud alumnus of SJCC, as the chief guest. Dr. Joseph Parackal, Principal of SJCC, extended a heartfelt welcome to all participants. Fr. Jophy Puthuparampu, the Executive Director, presided over the meeting. Dr. Mathew Murinakary, the Academic Director and Bursar, announced the recipients of the prestigious Cheriathundam Scholarship and Archbishop Powathil Scholarship, recognizing academic excellence. Ms. Elizabeth George, the Staff Secretary, presented a comprehensive report on the past academic year, highlighting the college's achievements. The ceremony witnessed a special tribute to Mr. Mathukutty Xavier, who was honoured with the prestigious SJCCian Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions and achievements. Mr. Nevin, the Union Chairperson, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the faculty, staff, and departing students for their contributions to the college community. The College Day served as a platform to celebrate academic excellence, foster camaraderie, and bid a fond farewell to the graduating class. SJCC wishes its final-year students the very best in their future endeavours.
