Changanassery Media Village held a grand celebration in honour of International Women's Day on March 8th, 2024. The program, a joint effort by Radio Media Village and St. Joseph College of Communication, brought together eighty women representatives and CDS chairpersons from Changanassery Municipality, Vazhappally, Payippad, Thrikkodithanam, Madappally, and Kurichi panchayats. The event commenced with a ceremony presided over by MLA Job Michael and inaugurated by Kottayam District Collector V Vigneshwari IAS. Collector Vigneshwari presented honours to the women representatives and CDS chairpersons. A highlight of the program was the launch of media and job training programs specifically designed for women. Titled "Let our women power be more smart," the project aims to empower women through skill development. Fr. Jophy Puthuparampu, Executive Director of Media Village, delivered his greetings, while Fr. Antony Ethakkad, Station Director of Radio Media Village, provided the keynote speech. Details regarding the media and job training programs were presented by Fr. Joseph Parackal and Fr. Varghese Nambimadam (CHASS). Changanassery Municipality President Beena Joby delivered the reply speech, followed by an expression of gratitude from student representative Nijona Maria Sebastian. This event served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of women while equipping them with valuable skills for career advancement.
