SJCC Ranked Among The Best Media Colleges In India

St Joseph's college of Communication is ranked as one of the best media colleges in India by India Today Magazine. The July 4, 2022 edition of the magazine has published the list of the best colleges in India in all categories. SJCC is ranked nineth among the best emerging media institutions in India (page 112). SJCC and MASCOM are the only two colleges ranked from Kerala in the category. The best emerging category of media colleges is for those institutions started after the year 2000 in India. MASCOM or Manorama School of Communication concentrates on journalism and news production while SJCC trains its students in Cinema and Animation. Hence SJCC can be considered the best institution for film and animation studies. The other big names in the list are Christ University Bangalore, St Joseph College (Autonomous) Bangalore, Madras Christian College, Chennai, APEEJAY Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi etc. SJCC is the first university affiliated media college in South India and is one of the largest media institutes in India with a thousand media students.
