1) It is a must that each student should attend all the components of internal assessment. Otherwise the assessment will not be complete.
2) Continuous Internal Assessment is done through out the semester.
3) The surprise test or Quiz and project work in each subject carrying 10 marks each will be conducted by the respective lecturers. The details of such test will be furnished by the lecturers concerned.
4) Two Mid Semester tests will be conducted in each semester as per the time table released by the Controller of examination.
5) The first Mid Semester test will be held during the 9th week after the commencement of the semester. The test is of I hour duration and carries max. marks of 20.
6) The second mid semester will be held during the 16th week of the semester. The duration of the test and max. marks will be 1 1/2, hours and 30 marks.
7) Both test combined will be evaluated for maximum of 50 marks. This will be reduced to 25 after valuation of both the tests.
8) There will be no retest in case the students miss the Mid Semester test.
9) Minimum marks in CIA to be eligible to write the end semester exam is 40% in each subiect.
10) Those who do not get minimum Marks of 40% in any subject will have to appear for the respective components of CIA and end Semester examination in the subsequent semester of the same number.
11) Continuous internal assessment marks will be displayed on the notice boards with in a week after the term closes.
12) The evaluated project/surprise test papers and Mid semester test papers will given back to the students for their reference. Any discrepancy as noticed by the students should be brought to the notice of the respective lecturers for corrections if any on the marks sheet. The students are required to preserve these answer sheets and present the same to the controller of examination in case of any discrepancy compared to the published marks list by COE.
END SEMESTER EXAMINATION |
1) The End Semester Examination will be conducted at the end of each semester. The duration and Max. Marks of the End Semester Examination is 3 hours and 100 marks.
2) All candidates writing the examination will have to submit the completed application along with the examination fee prescribed.
3) The controller of examination will issue the notification announcing the dates of the examination, dates of appl ication form to be submitted and the amount of examination fee to be paid.
4) The time table for End Semester Examination will be published by the Controller of Examination two weeks earlier to the date of commencement of examination.
5) Supplementary examinations will be held for all semesters and in all subjects.
6) Supplementary examinations of odd semesters examination will be held along with odd semester regular examination and even semester examination along with even semester regular examination.
7) The question papers for supplementary exam will be the same as the regular examination for each subject. In case of any change in subject and syllabus of the subjects, controller of examination will provide necessary instructions to candidates who write the supplementary examination.
8) Candidates who are writing the supplementary examination are required to submit the. filled in application form and pay the examination fee as specified.
9) The question paper for end semester examination will be set for maximum of 100 marks. After valuation and at the time of publishing the results it will be reduced to max. marks of 50.
